Opposite the former Evelpidon Military Academy park (next to “Pedion Areos” park) there is another little hidden gem we discovered by chance. The Kurdish restaurant “Leilim Lei” can easily claim a position among the best of its kind. It is always kept very clean, while it offers exceptional ingredients (truly virgin olive oil), affordable prices, decent portions without the common (for this kind of cuisine) overuse of herbs and spices – you won’t leave with a heavy stomach – and vegetarian options. It is also pet-friendly (if you sit at a table outside). We were impressed by its remarkable service and the exceptional behaviour of its staff.
