At 200 meters from Ano Patissia metro station, in a beautiful pedestrian area among lots of pine trees , you will find “IZO” coffee bar which has been there since 2000. We discovered it by chance during a bicycle ride in 2005, as we were cycling down from the station towards Agion Anargiron, on the curve of Halkidos street, where we noticed quite a few people at the tables in a relaxed atmosphere that reminded us of an island beach bar. “IZO” is open from the morning as a cafeteria, while in the afternoon its kitchen opens and it also serves platters, skewers, club sandwiches etc. It is extremely animal friendly (the owner has even adopted a stray and the neighbourhood cats also hang out there) and an ideal spot to go with your dog, as it is just opposite the Public Park of Athens.
