“Kivotos” café is a coffee place that can be considered as one of the hidden little gems of Athens. The owner of the cafe, Mr. John, is a man who counts many years working in the Athens nightlife, and who self-consciously decided, 20 years ago, to leave the larger-scale coastal highway shops in order to create a beautiful cafe for the few. Pet friendly, with a very pretty garden full of greenery and shade, small snacks (toasts, platters) and products only from Greece, “Kivotos” is the place that will offer you a peaceful haven to enjoy your coffee for as long as you need. Inside you will find an entire wall covered in balls and trophies, with original autographs of athletes, coaches, and other famous people that have been there. Mr.John is a man with a particular philosophy of life, the vibes of which have been transferred to this small cafe. A place worth visiting, whether to read your book or to have a discussion far from loud music and voices, and with very friendly prices. The cozy, welcoming “Kivotos” awaits you.
