The fish taverna “Ta Kanaria” is a very special case of a family tavern, whose history passes from generation to generation (since 1950). It is located in Moschato, on Kanari Street, in an old single-family house with a beautiful courtyard. As soon as you step foot in, you feel like you’re transported to the 50’s. The fact that their menu doesn’t have a huge variety of dishes is a guarantee of consistent quality, making it a favorite spot for “experienced foodies.” We tried excellent prawns (from Platamonas, as repeatedly emphasized by the owner), and whatever we had with fish (on a subsequent visit) was also well-cooked with a distinctive flavor. The prices of the establishment for the – always reliable – quality it offers are at normal levels.
