For the last three years (since 2021), in an abandoned plot in Giatrakou, Metaxourgeio, a quite special canteen named “Galiandra” has opened. It is quite unique, because it stands out from typical street food or similar canteens. The menu offers options for all tastes (vegan, fish, salads, meat, etc.) at reasonable prices considering the excellent quality they provide.
We tried a salad with cream cheese-beetroot-walnut, chicken burger, meatball sandwich, vegan wrap, truffle-mushroom beef burger, and we were thoroughly satisfied.
On weekends, it opens early in the afternoon.
In short: If you are in Metaxourgeio, or if you are looking for a quick and tasty meal, you must visit “Galiandra.”
