Jukebox is not exactly a bar. It’s a time machine to the 50s. As soon as you enter the space, the objects, lighting, details in the decor, the music, all “set the tone.”The music choices, although there is a particular fondness for the 50-60s and rock’n’roll, also include passages through jazz, blues, indie, and punk. Perhaps it is the only place that plays almost exclusively vinyl records. So far, it has hosted various events, from themed nights, live performances, bazaars, book presentations, and attracts all the “tribes” of Athens. Among the regulars, we have encountered actors (it is next to 2 theaters) and other artists who move there after their performances. A favorite among many dance groups in Athens (on the day we went, it was Athens Lindy Hop), and its reputation spreads by word of mouth.An ideal spot even for weekdays, for a coffee or a drink with friends. It won’t disappoint you; we have been there several times and have loved it.
